For the phenakistoscope project my overall design includes (on the outer edge) a bird like creature rising off of an egg like substance that has one eye that is opening. The middle layer includes this ooze that is dripping from the egg as well as a plant that is slowly growing under the ooze. As well as a moon that is looking as the ooze falls on it. Lastly the inner most layer includes this oval like lid that has a sphere moving back and forth. After making this project I learned that when drawing moving images it is best to space your next and previous drawing ever so slightly apart. This is to entail a more full animation and smoothness within the overall movement of the piece or action you’re trying to portray.
